There are always the people who wish for you to get hurt, to be injured. It's better to hope and cope with all the obstacles in life. There is purpose in life and decisions that you have to make and obstacles that help you to grow to become who you truly are in life. The only way to find the greatest meaning of life is living it for yourself to find out and others as well. With Lyra in The Golden Compass, more than the use of alethiometer, her soul succeeds others in the ways of having courage. In the book she says that if she were an imaginative person, that she would have only felt that everything she tried to do only as a dream, something unreachable. She did save all of the children the gobblers tried to sever and succeeded. It shows sometimes that imagination sometimes gets in the way due to how if we don't think realistically sometimes, we end up thinking that things are unreachable or worry. Thinking that things are unreachable or worrying is a misuse of the imagination.
